Mapping Your Bedroom

I have assigned a mapping activity to the students that is due on Monday, Sept. 19th. They are to map their bedroom on the giant graph paper I sent home with them today. Students need to include all the six parts of a map:
1. Title
2. Map Key
3. Symbols
4. Scale: We said that one square on the paper would be one step on
the floor in their bedroom.
5. Label
6. Compass Rose

(This is from the book we read in class today called Mapping Penny’s World.

Take a Look at the “Rock Cycle”. Get your child to sing our rock cycle song.
